Chilliwack Home to Two New Master Breeders
The beautiful Blossomdairy Farm is the backdrop for the MB Goertzen family; (l-r) Jillian, Vic, Laurie, Mary, Leah and Brian.
The Goertzen family travelled to the National Convention in Ontario to be awarded their Master Breeder shield. "It’s an honour to receive an award like this. It has been a life-long dream," says Vic. Brian adds, "I think it reflects our enjoyment and passion for working with quality cattle." Their secret to success? Top brood cows (the best genetics on both sides of the pedigree), quality feed and diligent management."

Turning the pages of Brian Goertzen’s photo album, it is clear to see that cows have always been a passion. The proof lies on the pages. There on the first page is a young redheaded boy proudly on the halter of a Holstein, then there are cute baby photos and at age three it starts…Brian with a cow. Brian with a calf. Brian at a show. Brian milking. This kid LOVES cows! Whose kid is this and how did he get this way? Read full story
